As we celebrate 75 years of independence the future is bright but the journey is long to get to a middle income country status which, I have been hoping, is a milestone that will be achieved in this generation.

The Prime minister in his Independence Day address from the ramparts of Red Fort implored people to aim big and have pride in the past and put forth the goal of being a developed nation when India turns 100 as a free country…

Today, at 75 as the nation awakens 

From the ramparts the leader reckons

To dream big we aren’t at all shy

And we’ll have our head held high

For at hundred a developed nation beckons 

A fight between a husband and wife is quite normal and when things go a bit far – as it happened with our man – the persuasion required to patch up would be that much more. In one such aggravated fight a woman left her husband and went  away to her parents place. Desperate to get her back he needed a few days off to plead with her to return with him and now the whole world knows the reason when contents of the leave letter  went viral.
