The GST bonanza is so taxing

The Indian Government rationalized the GST (VAT) structure thereby reducing the prices of most goods and services. While this is expected to give a fillip to consumption, with an introduction of a 40% sin goods category not everyone is rejoicing though…

With complex rates all in the bin

Consumption is what we hear is in

As sales are set to tee off

Hearing many a scoff

Saying it’s so taxing for us to now sin

The Coffee Day Limerick

It is just over a month since CoffeeDay and i realised i did not post my Limerick out here.

Yes sir, on this is what we all grew

The best, I say is this heady brew

Of the South Indian filter kind

The talk is of a healthier find

The Feisty Marriage

Appalams aka Poppadums is the basic accompaniment of any South Indian meal. Whenever I encounter these addictive culprits my minimum count is half a dozen and so I shudder to think what would have happened to the puny me at this wedding…

So amidst the beating of drums

They showed off who got how much might

During  drought when soil is dry

Plants do wilt whatever you try

Now a scientific study shows

That any plant healthily grows

With a tipple & when they hic get  high

The Invisible 2nd Passenger

All of us would have heard of the controversial US Supreme Court judgement on abortion rights. This woman who was driving alone – or was she – was caught driving in a high occupancy lane and her defence was not only ingenious but also absolutely tenable!

The cop said in the high occupancy lane you can’t be

The lady said we are 2 –  the one in my tummy & me

He told a pax has to be outside, there’s a flaw

Nah she told him you better read the law

Let me tell you this sir, you reap what you sow said she

The Tree Dweller

Is it to get away from his harassing wife or that  unrestricted  view of  every house and the pond in the village made Ram Pravesh make the top of a 100 foot palm tree his house? Or, maybe, it was both…

The situation in the village was quite grim

As Ram Pravesh’s wife kept beating him

He made his dwelling on the palm tree

With a peek into every home as a bird free

The chances of him coming down are but slim
